All specimens are processed at CLIA approved laboratories. We work closely with the labs to ensure that we are offering you the most up-to-date and accurate test for your particular need. A variety of screenings are available and one of our counselors can help you determine what test, or panel of tests, will provide you the peace of mind you seek.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are among the most common infectious diseases in the United States today. More than 20 STDs have now been identified and affect more than 13 million men and women in this country each year. Understanding the basic facts about STDs and the ways in which they are spread is the first step toward prevention.

AIDS & HIV

Many people refer to HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) as the "AIDS virus". AIDS is a result of HIV infection. HIV is transmitted through blood, semen or vaginal secretions. Risk factors for transmission of HIV include unprotected sexual contact with an HIV infected person or sharing drug injection equipment. It is also possible for HIV to be transmitted from mother to child through pregnancy, childbirth and possibly breastfeeding.

Health Screening

This screening includes testing to evaluate cardiovascular, renal, circulatory, bone, pancreatic and thyroid health. The panel also evaluates the hepatic system and includes prostate screening for men. Laboratory tests cannot screen for every possible disease. This panel, however, utilizes a total of 30 tests to create an image of ones overall health. Many of these tests will be used to identify risk factors, to help manage preventative measures and to rule out disease.
